Every morning, Rajesh goes for a morning walk. He starts from his house and walks up to a river which is located at a distance of 4 km from his house. Today, his dog also accompanied him. As Rajesh and his dog started together from his house, his dog ran towards the river and on reaching the river, it immediately reversed its direction. On meeting Rajesh, the dog again reversed its direction and ran towards the river. This process continued till Rajesh reached the river. If Rajesh walked at a uniform speed of 4 kmph and the dog ran at a constant speed of 12 kmph, what is the distance covered by the dog in the direction opposite to Rajesh’s direction?
